  • Cheese & Filling: 1 ball (about 120 g) burrata cheese drained and torn into pieces, 1 medium ripe tomato thinly sliced, 8 10 fresh basil leaves
  • Spreads & Seasonings: 2 tbsp unsalted butter softened, 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil, Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1:
Lay out the bread slices Lightly butter one side of each slice these will be the outsides of the sandwich.
Step 2:
On the unbuttered side of two slices layer the burrata tomato slices and basil leaves Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3:
Top each with the remaining bread slices buttered side facing out.
Step 4:
Heat olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Step 5:
Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook for 3 4 minutes per side pressing gently with a spatula until the bread is golden brown and crisp and the cheese is melty.
Step 6:
Remove from the pan let cool for 1 minute then slice and serve immediately.
