# Step-by-Step Directions:
01 - Warm olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat until melted and combined. Add shallot and cook for 2 minutes until softened.
02 - Stir in minced garlic and red pepper flakes; cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
03 - Place shrimp in a single layer in the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper. Sauté for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink and just cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
04 - Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth along with lemon zest and juice. Bring mixture to a simmer.
